Should Celebrities Be Considered Role Modles?

Celebrities often get criticized for their poor behavior and decisions because they suppose to be role models. Celebrities such as Brittney Spears and Christina Aguilera have said repeatedly that they do not want to be considered role models, they just want to entertain and live their lives. But considering their position as a celebrity and the constant media attention they receive is it possible to not pay attention to them, idolize them, or even make them our role models?
